Famille Sumeire Vignerons en Provence
La Bastide Maupague
Description of the product
Château Maupague rebrand. We are looking for a classic yet stand-out front label for this strong character vineyard in the South of France evoking heritage and excellence. We are switching from our current Bordeaux bottle to a Burgundy bottle for a more luxurious look. We have selected a bottle of a different shape and stature named “Agape”, which means feast in French. We would like to switch out the word “Chateau” for “La Bastide” which is truer to the Provençal style of the Estate and more down to earth. Our goal is to re-brand and re-package Chateau Maupague, our 40 hectares vineyard classified AOP Côtes de Provence Sainte Victoire. We are looking to change the packaging as we seek to create a high-end visual for the red wine which will be sold in specialized wine stores and restaurants. Maupague is an old Provencal word meaning “giving little” as the vines are planted in the rocky alluvions of the world-famous Sainte Victoire Mountain which was painted by Cézanne and is on the list of French Grand sites. Sainte Victoire is a sub-appellation within the Cotes de Provence recognized for its’ distinct terroir, micro-climate, and character. Only a handful of producers are classified which makes this appellation extremely rare. Purchased by the Sumeire Family in 1991, Chateau Maupague is cultivated sustainably and is certified HVE (High Environmental Value). Our family has been in Provence and making wine for over 8 generations, we want the label to convey heritage, tradition, and excellence. Let yourself be inspired by the majestic Sainte Victoire Mountain, the 19th-century sphinges watching over our vines, or the 18th-century door, entrance of the bastide…which makes this estate so unique.
Description of the product target audience
Wine enthusiasts seeking terroir-driven wines from the very small Sainte Victoire Côtes de Provence Appellation. Our target audience is men and women who purchase wine in specialized wine stores versus supermarkets and seek gastronomical wine.
