The West Winds Gin
Light + Low Grapefruit Gin & Tonic
Description of the product
Creating a new category entrant: The West Winds team are experts at making full-strength gin, and have identified that there is a growing market for low alcohol and low calorie gins for people wanting to drink less, who are the skipper or simply because they’d like to have a few more than 2 in one sitting. There is also a growing market for beverages that are low in calories, adding to the appeal of putting the two together to create a low alc / low cal G&T Therefore, we want to develop a design for a 250ml Can. * Makes it feel like it’s from the West Winds Family - exploring some of the visual equity the existing skus - but building on it to differentiate it from our existing full-strength Gin cans. * Although it’s low in alcohol and low in calories, we want it to look like it’s still full of flavour and made with nothing but the best Australian botanicals. * It must be abundantly clear that it’s low alcohol, and low in calories, but that it actually tastes like a G&T should. Refreshing down to the very last drop.
Description of the product target audience
The typical drinker for this proposed product will be as follows: * Likely female skewed 20-65+ * Most likely to shop in bigger retail bottle shops, where there will be a lot of competition on shelves - therefore standout is key * At $15 AUD a 4-pack, we need to be clear that this is a low calorie and low alcohol product.
Please see attached brief.
What to avoid
Please see brief. However, this is a chance to visually deviate just a little from previous can designs, to help differentiate for the Low Alcohol & Low Calorie positioning. Although, we DON'T want it to look completely different.
I will send final dimension ASAP. For now, please design based on the following:Can:Height: 125mm Diameter: 50mm
