We are looking for the front and back labels (5" x 5") of our packaging (6" x 9" pouch) to be designed. The pouch itself is matte black. We will be using a 5”x5” adhesive label on the front and back of pouch. The label will also be matte black.
As for the design, we are looking forward to your own creative inspiration, but we are envisioning a high contrast black and white design. Ideally, we would see some creative mountainous landscape art or other outdoor-themed design incorporated, covering the majority of the front label. This could be line-art (see Design Inspiration section) which we really like, or some other creative mountainous imagery, but should be black & white. We would like our company name (and/or acronym, "PTH") cohesively incorporated on the front label, with the recipe name, as well, but subtly incorporated. You'll notice in the Design Inspiration section we have mountain art examples, but also examples of very simple, but bold black and white packaging/labels. We like both concepts, together as well as individually, so we look forward to seeing how you all interpret and capture this!
On the back label, we would like a similar bold, but simple black/white theme to the front. Content on the back should include:
1 - Logo design + slogan. We are hoping you can create a simple logo for us (maybe a mountain range shape, that incorporates the American flag -- see inspiration board attachment). Along with the logo, we want the phrase “Tested in the backcountry. Approved by the frontlines. Made in America.” with 4 icons that represent “badges” or “shields” of the 4 primary target audience groups: Outdoorsman (hunters/anglers), police, firefighter/EMT, and military.
2 - Nutrition facts. Please be creative with this part, we don't need just the "standard" nutrition box. We would like Protein, Fat, and Carbohydrates emphasized in some way as those are most important for the Ketogenic diet).
For additional inspirational images / examples, see this Pinterest Board: https://www.pinterest.com/ndaboston…d-to-hunt/
Bold, but simple
Aggressive, but refined (see Kuiu and arcteryx logos)
On the FRONT LABEL we envision seeing:
----- Design -----
White on black mountainous landscape design or other creative incorporation of outdoor / mountain theme.
----- Company Name/Wordmark -----
"Prepared To Hunt"
May also incorporate our company name as an acronym (PTH)
----- Product name -----
Jalapeno Popper Chicken Casserole
Smoked Pulled Pork with Bacon
---- Mantra ----
(Either on front or back)
"Tested in the backcountry. Approved by the frontlines. Made in America."
----- Weight -----
TBD - likely 2oz
----- Design feature ----
(Either on front or back)
We’d like the slogan/mantra, “Tested in the backcountry. Approved by the frontlines. Made in America.” with 4 icons below (or associated to the text) that represent “badges” or “shields” of the 4 primary target audiences: Outdoorsman (hunters/anglers), police, firefighter/EMT, and military. We envision the emblems as follows:
Outdoorsman - maybe an arrow crossing a fishing rod, with antlers on one side and a bass fish on the other
Military - shield with a trident in center
Police - standard police badge OR a black/white American flag with blue line
Firefighter/EMT - Firefighter shield
----- More Info -----
(we can fill space with an "about us" or a "about the meal" paragraph or two if you feel this should be included in the design)
----- Nutrition information -----
We are thinking of highlighting the key macronutrients (Protein, Fat, Carbs - indicated by P F C) and then having other nutrients/ingredients less pronounced below or beside that. The ketogenic diet strictly requires high fat, low carbs, and moderate protein -- hence us wanting to emphasize the importance of those macros.
Leave actual nutrition info blank for now.
----- Instructions (2 options for your design)-----
Option 1 (traditional instructions)
- Open pouch at notch and remove oxygen absorber.
- Boil 8 oz of water and pour into pouch until contents are covered
- Stir contents, press extra air out of pouch, seal it up, and let meal rehydrate for 10 minutes
- Open, stir, and enjoy.
(Just an idea)
