How cristaF started their product packaging journey
I like the color scheme. It seems to reflect the product well. I like the open window to see product. The design is a little busy for my taste.
Like the minimalistic design, do not like the colors. It looks harsh, and not soft and luxurious.
I don't like this design. It looks busy, and not luxury or high end like we want for our package. I don't like the color scheme.
Like the vintage feel and gold border around box, giving it a high-end luxury feel.
Love the color combo of the ivory, aqua, and gold on bottom left.
Love the vintage feel of this packaging. We like the aqua/ivory combination with the gold lettering. This is how we picture ours looking.
This drawer type box is close to ours. We like the gold lettering on the ends/sides of box.
Like the vintage look and use of the aqua/gold.
Color is very similar to our aqua color and how we would like the gold lettering to look on our packaging. Like the gold border on box.
Like the center of this package with the diamond shape. The background design is a little busy, but like the retro feel.
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
We want to use our company colors- aqua, ivory, and gold. You can view the colors in our logos attached. We can send pantone color code or any other color codes you need.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Starlet Satin Pillowcases are made with the finest custom satin, and known for reducing hair damage, minimizing sleep lines on the face, and maintaining moisture balance in the hair and skin. A family beauty secret initially shared with starlets of Hollywood's Golden Age, passed down for generations, and now recommended by top beauty experts from hair stylists to cosmetic surgeons to preserve healthy hair and a youthful complexion.
Description of the product target audience
Women, age 30-60, medium to high income level, who typically spend money on beauty/spa treatments and shop at high end boutiques.
A beautiful drawer type box (with tray and sleeve) for our satin pillowcases. We would like the package to reflect the luxury and high quality of our pillowcases, and designed to target high-end beauty product buyers. Our product will sit on the shelves of high-end spas, salons, and boutiques. Please see attached Word file for content and additional notes. We like simple, elegant design. It should have a vintage, Old Hollywood Glamour look, but still look elegant and refined, but not too stuffy, and have a touch of whimsy. We don't want an image on the package. We want our logo on the front to be in either gold foil stamped or gold ink. We love the packaging for the candy company- Lolli and Pops, and have attached several images of their packaging. They have a retro yet high-end look.
What to avoid
Use of stock imagery.
*Avoid vertical design. We need it to be horizontal design since that is how it will best sit on the retail shelf.
*Avoid making the logo too small. We would like our logo to be very prominent on the front.
*Avoid using the star shape as the cut out on the back. We put that there just as an example, but really want a coronata star, like in our logo instead of the regular star shown as the cutout.
This is a drawer type box with an inside tray that the pillowcase will sit in, and an outside sleeve (which is where our content will be.) There is a satin pull-tab attached to the tray to pull it out from the box sleeve. The box dimensions are: length 7.75”, width 5.625” and depth 1.375”
I have also attached the dielines.

Open box and see removable insert. Small hole is grommet holding ribbon
Removing insert. The artwork cutout star will need to be on the left side of this insert.
Insert removed. No artwork is needed for the tray except for the color ivory and icons on the both ends.
Back of box
Back of box with tray slightly pulled open.
Back of box showing ribbon
Open box and you will see the product. You will see the insert "Sweet dreams..." after you remove the product.
I had to pull back the taped on artwork to show the cutout which will show the fabric through the cutout of the box and the cutout of the insert.
