rob.rubens got their new product packaging by running a design contest:
LA's First Distillery-Brewery: Design Our Gin Label!
Check out rob.rubens's Product packaging contest…
Food & Drink
We are a small batch craft distillery and brewery, based in El Segundo (Los Angeles), California. We pride ourselves in high quality, grain to bottle products with extreme attention to detail. Our products are not cheap; we target a selective market with higher discretionary income. The products should embody the 1920's prohibition look and feel (look at Green Hat Gin (greenhatgin.com), Bonnie & Clyde (facebook.com/deluxedistillery), Few Spirits (fewspirits.com), my family's theatre (www.rialtosquare.com/history.asp)). Price point is $33 USD for vodka/gin and $55 for whiskey. Branding: should have the Rob Rubens Distilling & Brewing logo, but then brand the spirit label (front and back) accordingly with the name. Please be sure to include the other necessary elements for the bottle label (750 mL, government warning (on all US spirits bottles), UPC, etc.).
What's your vision?
This is a label for our gin bottle (front and back). The front should tell a story of prohibition with imagery. Label should take into consideration future bottles and brand consistency / matching. Label will be printed on textured paper and should have various elements that pop (foil, embossing, etc.). The back should tell a cool story that entices the buyer to put the bottle in his / her cart, now that he / she has already taken it off of the shelf. We are open to a name change from American Vandal Gin (but think it is pretty cool). Other options include: Head Over Heels, 1933, Blind Tiger, The Noble Experiment, Blind Pig, Violet Hour, Dress Flapper, Tommy Gun, Coattails, Anti-Bandit, Last Call
Think prohibition, speak easy, elegance with attitude – look at sample brands provided. Use the PDF as a guideline ONLY. However, the uploaded logos should be incorporated on the bottle.
