Sweet Sofia’s Bakery is the consumer brand for a wholesale dessert company. We are a USA dessert manufacturing company that creates gourmet frozen desserts for restaurants and retailers. Our products are well regarded for their outstanding quality, hand-crafted preparation, and all-natural, authentic ingredients. NOTE: We are designing this for a restaurant client who has asked to remain anonymous (since this will be private label). Therefore, we ask that you leave an area available to place the client’s logo on the packaging. See below for more info.
What's your vision?
PROJECT OVERVIEW Create mock-up package for a new ‘Kid’s Cannoli Kit’ that will be sold at a restaurant chain for their ‘to go’ customers. We are adapting this package from a current package we’re using at retail ‘club’ stores and targeting kids and their families. It will need different graphics and sizing (so it doesn’t compete), but the attached will give you an idea of what we’re currently using as packaging for this product. This is just to send samples and a box mock-up of our Kid’s Cannoli Kit to the client. If they approve the design, we will move forward (possibly with some change suggestions from the client) WHAT WE NEED FROM DESIGNERS For now, just focus on the front design . Once we select a winner, we will work with that designer to finalize the packaging and work on the back and side panels with more descriptive copy, nutritionals and ingredients. Again, this will just be to create a mock up box for the client samples. PACKAGE REQUIREMENTS • See attached ’24-piece Cannoli Kit’ package design to use as a ‘jumping off point’ • Colors – We like the bright red, green and yellow colors, but you can try something different if you think it will be more ‘kid friendly’. o Colors must be bright and ‘pop’. These illustrations would be of a kid (boy or girl) eating a cannoli, and one of a kid’s hands filling the cannoli. Perhaps use an image of the attached cannoli with sprinkles on the box or for inspiration. • If Illustration Too Difficult – Then you can try using the attached image (we’re working on re-shooting this image, but you can use it for now). • Dimensions and Two Versions – See attached preliminary die lines (I’m waiting to get actual die lines from the printer). The client wants to see two versions of a mock-up box: A 6-pack and 12-pack version. The only difference would be the depth. At this point, don’t worry about the depth (back panel) or side panels if you want to save some time. We will focus on those once a winning design has been awarded. • Title should be split into two lines. Top line should be ‘Kid’s Cannoli Kit’ (very prominent and bold). Second line should be ‘All Natural Italian Dessert’ • Call Outs – Call out design should be slightly different than what we have on our current box (to avoid competition), but should still use ‘kid friendly fonts. o Call out 1 – A Family Fun Treat! o Call out 2 - Fast & Easy o Call out 3- Just Fill, Sprinkle & Eat! • Lower Left Copy– 6 Cannoli Shells, Cream & Sprinkles • Lower Right Copy – KEEP REFRIGERATED OR FROZEN o NET WT. 8 oz (226g) • Lower Right – Insert KSA Dairy logo (attached). FONT STYLING We’re open to font styling, but it must be ‘kid focused’, and be big and bold enough to immediately catch your eye (not too subtle...).
