coveredsole got their new product packaging by running a design contest:
Design packaging targeting designer fashion for our high heel protectors
Check out coveredsole's Product packaging contest…
Description of the product
A crystal clear protective film that wraps around the heel portion of a high heel shoe. The product will help to protect the heel against scratches, scuffs, and other damage.
Description of the product target audience
Anyone who wears high heels. This product is mostly targeted towards women who wear high end designer heels.
We are looking to have flat cardboard packaging (similar to a mailer designed). In the interest of time, our initial runs will be printed as greeting cards, with the instructions on the inside of the card, product in the middle, and inserted into cellophane. We would like the design to be adaptable to both formats. For the cardboard packaging, the contents of the greeting card format would be printed and inserted with the product. However, for the purpose of this contest, we should think of the packaging in a 4x6 greeting card format. The card will be portrait orientation. The front of the card will be the front of the product. We would like something that clearly shows what the use of the product is. On the inside of the card will be our instructions. We would like some graphics to help demonstrate the application process. Some examples of similar products and competing products are provided. Instructions are also provided in a file, please feel free to format how you see fit. We don't have any particular ideas for the other side. We'd love to see ideas and leave it to your creativity. The back of card, will also be the back of the packaging. Again, we're open to suggestions here. Our website (which will be redesigned once we have this product ready to launch) should be mentioned somewhere, but can be small at the bottom. There should be space to include the UPC. Our initial though was a graphic showing the dimensions of the product, but we're not married to that idea. We'd like the shape of our product incorporated in the graphic for the cover and/or instructions. Not the shape of the card, but maybe an overlay over a picture of heels demonstrating the product. For reference of our other product please visit our website. www.coveredsole.com Our other product on the site has our old design as well. You can see the updated look on our IG page @coveredsole
