Iveta Gourmet got their new product packaging by running a design contest:
Create a package for great-tasting, organic scone mixes

Food & Drink
We manufacture award-winning, all-natural scone, muffin, biscuit and cupcake mixes in retail and foodservice packaging. Our target consumers are college-educated women, over 30, with above average incomes. Our wholesale market includes high end specialty retailers (Crate & Barrel, Williams-Sonoma), gourmet grocers (Whole Foods), gift and gourmet shops (Dean and Deluca), coffeehouses, tearooms, hotels and resorts. We are not targeting grocery chains or big box discount stores.
What's your vision?
We're looking for a retail package for a new line of organic scone mixes. The package should be distinguishable from our existing packaging, but with some common elements so consumers know it's part of our product line. We're known for our quality products and market to the higher end of the category, so the new package should reflect that. The package should be consistent with the organic product (eg recycled paper board, matt finish, embossed text, etc). We currently use a gable top box, but are willing to be flexible on the size and shape of the box. The box will contain approximately 1 lb of mix.
We're interested in a clean, simple, elegant look – not the typical grocery store package. The package material should also be heavy enough to withstand usual shelf wear and hold up well in a gift basket. Our existing packaging can be seen on our web site, www.iveta.com.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Product packaging starts at $449.
