Food & Drink
Malay Family Cuisine is an extension of an existing catering business. We cook and serve authentic Malaysian food. As indicated by the name, we are a family owned business. Our mission is to sell the most popular Malaysian food items in grocery stores in a convenient format. The food products are made with recipes that have been passed on from generation to generation. Our first product is the Malaysian Satay. We use specialty chicken (Chicken that are fed with certified organic fed, not given any hormones, and Halal). We believe that good quality, delicious food can also be convenient. The food is sold uncooked and packaged to be sold in the frozen section. Our vibe Delicious food made by outgoing family members who are enthusiastic about sharing our Malaysian cuisine! Our customer (end consumer) is a single male or female between the age of 24 – 39 who cannot or doesn’t want to cook. He/She lives in the city center. He/she has a disposable income to spend on premium price “organic-themed” products. He/She is better educated and wealthier, and are willing to pay higher prices for higher quality food. He/She is seeking healthy, preservative-free, and pesticide-free foods to ensure a long and healthy life. He/She is driven by health and taste rather than price. Summary: Health conscious, busy individuals looking for a quick meal!
What's your vision?
We would like our packaging to be so beautiful that it sells the product itself. Artful packages that stand out on the shelf. We are working with a food photographer to take pictures of our product so that we can use it on the packaging. Our goal is to have an editorial-style photography accompanied by a structured, modern design that allows our savory dishes to take center stage. (We have attached a sample picture for you to use in your design until we receive the actual pictures from the photographer.) Package design will focus on the expectation of what the customer is buying with interesting elements. We want to use natural colours to sell freshness (ie. Colours of spices, red chillies, green vegetables, etc.) We want to be known as a recognizable and trusted brandmark. We want to convey a message of simple ingredients and delicious products easy to make. All-natural positioning. Position the product as a delicious meal/appetizer, product made from only the highest quality ingredients, or a product of Malaysian origin. We have attached some examples of packages that we like and could see our products in. DESIGNS WE NEED We have stand up pouches that we will need front and back stickers for. (We have attached a picture of the pouches.
