WHO WE ARE Brightswitch is the next evolution of the light switch. It is a full-color touch-screen wall switch that provides simple selections for immediate use of lights, security and intercom, and runs Android apps such as Pandora®, Skype® and many others. The switches have Z-Wave, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities as well as, movement sensor (PIR), temperature, speaker and microphone included. Brightswitch is a premium priced product with an MSRP of $199 USD. We ran a successful crowd-funding campaign and have been taking pre-orders for our product. The first round of the product is schedule to ship later this year. Brightswitch is a trademark of Brightswitch, Inc. Please review our website for more company and product info at www.GetBrightswitch.com TARGET AUDIENCE This is a premium priced light switch product whose audience is interested in advanced home technology, but may or may not have the technical skills (or inclination) to set up an advanced home automation system. Users are likely to be familiar and comfortable with smart phone technology. OUR MARKET To date our market has been direct to consumer via crowd-funding and our website. We will continue to be direct to consumer for the foreseeable future, but will potentially also be adding Amazon (and other online outlets) and additional brick & mortar retail and wholesale channels.
What's your vision?
THIS PROJECT We need packaging deigned for the product. The product is premium priced product so blister pack just won't do we need something consistent with the products price point and aesthetic design. We are looking for an elegant clean design. While we are currently direct to customer, we are looking at both wholesale and retail opportunities for distribution and will need to have a design that will work both for mailed fulfillment, as well as on store shelves. The packaging should be simple for our team to assemble and easy for customers to open. We are anticipating future white-label opportunities and as such would like to have a flexible design: 1. A simple single color box (inner box) 2. A full-color sleeve with product information and branding which can be changed based on future needs (to go around the box) Box dimensions: 9 inch tall x 9 inch wide x 1.75 inch deep (Box color should be changed to work with sleeve design.) Minimum Packaging Elements (sleeve and exposed box exterior) • Brightswitch logo • Product imagery (will have actual product photography closer to units shipping date) • Website URL: www.GetBrightswitch.com • UPC code, model/serial/lot number area (could be included as specified area on exterior of the inner box to save room on sleeve) • Space for regulatory logos as needed • Feature/benefit call-out space • (text) Package contents: Switch, base, installation guide • (text) Made in USA

(DESIGN NOTE: packaging can include Wi-Fi compatibility mention, but will not include Wi-Fi logo at this time) • Web-based Control Portal (optional feature): Remotely control switches from anywhere on the Internet via a secure web site. • Learning mode: Learns from your usage patterns over time and automatically turns on your lights based on your living patterns, saving you time and energy. • Built-in intercom and camera: Communicate with other Brightswitch units with both sound and streaming video or use with Internet-enabled apps like Skype. • UL, ETL and FCC tested and approved: (DESIGN NOTE: regulatory approves are in in-progress and may not be complete at the time of first printing, however there will need space allocated for regulatory logos.) Includes everything needed to easily set up, connect to and control other Brightswitch or Z-Wave compatible lights and devices. We have developed several new technologies within the switch to ease set up and operation. Designed and built in the USA Additional features: • Dimmer: Use the kind of bulb you want. Selectable for incandescent, CFL, LED bulbs. • Wake up alarm, vacation and on-time timers: No more searching for that vacation timer for the lamp or trying to remember if you turned off the bathroom fan. • Proximity detection/motion sensing: Can turn off your lights when you leave the room, or when no one is using it—great for safety and saving energy. • Temperature display: F or C display. • Nightlight/daylight modes: Dims/brightens screen automatically • Other features: Clock/date display, room name/message display. • Voltage / Frequency: 110 or 240 VAC, 60 or 50Hz, 600 watts.
