Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a non-profit offering counseling, mentoring, educational, spiritual legal services and life-skill training and employment opportunities to men getting released back into society from prison. Most of them being Gang members looking for a better opportunity in life.
We are going to private label a high quality coffee, roasted locally with coffee beans from Africa, Brazil and Costa Rica.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I need a package designed for a 12oz bag. I don't want it to be too sophisticated, but rather edgy and urban. Maybe even a graffiti look... The coffee is very high quality and the coffee will sell for $11-$15/package;on par with Starbucks. NO shiny materials...probably a matte finish or even just a brown shopping bag look. There is a story that will need to be printed on each package...both of the non-profit's mission statement and some detail about the coffee's origin and how it is handled....We will be selling retail and some wholesale and definitely on-line.
So the message will be high quality, award winning coffee. The decaf coffee is processed without chemicals , so is 'Green'.. the coffee from Africa is from a women's cooperative, that is using the profits to assist women with AIDS and those that have been sexually abused..so there is another good story to tell...plus the story of assisting ex-convicts with the challenge of re-entry into a 'normal' society that work for the money they make....I'm hoping the combination is compelling. we have a web-site: http://www.RiseUpIndustries.org
I have located a company on line that manufactures the package for coffee, so you can go there to see the sizes. there site address is: http://www.roastar.com/
