Description of the product target audience
our product is purchased locally at our roastery by coffee lovers. it's carried at local grocery stores throughout the state. we ship personal orders all over the world. we are working on an amazon seller account which would open the door to a much wider audience than we currently have.
We are hoping to redesign the look of the bag that holds our 12oz and 2lb coffee. Each bag will have a different flavor of coffee, the roast profile, and a description of the coffee. We have 11 different blends that we would like a new bag for but this will stand as the template that we will base all of the flavors off of. The front of the bag should include the logo, name of coffee, description of coffee, the weight of each bag [1 pound (453 grams)] and the roast profile of the coffee (medium, medium-dark, or dark). The back of the bag should have brew instructions (drip, french press, pour over). One side will have a "our story" about the company, and the other side will have the logo's that represent the coffee (made in Alaska, Gluten Free, Vegan, etc) We do not want our logo changed but would like something that would compliment it and bring the bag in to the new decade! Our bags are a matte red, so keep this in mind while designing. We are overhauling our website right now as well, so it does not accurately represent the direction for design that we would like to go. However, warm, cozy, Alaskan, is what we are looking for. Our logo needs to go in the center, below the valve on the front of the bag.
What to avoid
Would like there to be a cohesiveness between the logo font and the font on the rest of the bag. We are trying to get away from the "Santa Claus" theme. We don't want our everyday bags to be Christmasy in theme even though we are from North Pole. We may use that for the Christmas season but the rest of the year we want a bag that isn't specifically Santa themed.
