How jeffrey.wehr started their product packaging journey
Retro/throwback elements look nice, but not too thrilled about the natural color of the paper
interesting mix of throwback and modern, and good mix of ornateness but also some minimalism
like the throwback feel, but not the right era for what im looking for ideally
i like the simple lines of this design without being too simple

Batavia Customs House
Description of the product
At Batavia Customs House, we are aiming to provide a premium line of coffee and tea accessories to enthusiasts. Our product here represents a premium tea infuser that in its look attempts to mix a bit of the steampunk aesthetic to the victorian/tall ships-inspired historic theme of our brand overall.
Description of the product target audience
An upper middle class individual (perhaps slanting female and urban) with an interest in personal health and remaining active, while also maintaining a modicum of style and taste. Think perhaps of 'yoga moms' in a trendy young family neighborhood like Park Slope in New York or Noe Valley in San Francisco.
My Brand is Batavia Customs House - I am hoping to have 'Batavia' emphasized and/or in a larger font, 'Customs House' deemphasized and/or in a much smaller font, as I want people to think of the brand as 'Batavia' for short (or maybe 'BHC' instead, if that sort of monogram or acronym fits in with your design idea). I am envisioning stencil-like old-fashioned 'tall ship'- or Victorian-era-inspired packaging, ideally more minimalistic - but those eras were somewhat ornate so I understand if minimalism is not really feasible. The whole motif of the brand is supposed to a riff off the Dutch East India Company, since we are focusing on Teas and Coffees and related paraphernalia (Batavia was the older name for Jakarta, capital of Indonesia and a coffee/tea center to a degree). I have attached our logo as it presently stands, but if you'd rather incorporate something else thematically related (with an eye perhaps toward doing a better redesigned logo for us after conclusion of this packaging project) that potentially also could work, as we are a newer company. I am also (hopefully) attaching some other cargo ship-ish stenciling/tall ships era/victorian era inspired pictures that are in a similar vein with what we're seeking here. We will be using this packaging for Amazon, and will provide our Amazon barcode here as well to place on the packaging. Finally, it should state somewhere around the product name that it is a 'Premium Double-Walled Glass Travel Bottle with Removable Stainless Steel Infusion Chamber'. Thanks so much!
What to avoid

[this is poor quality because we lacked good editing software in moving stuff around - any shape distortions should be disregarded, it's just designed to show the changes in color we were looking to employ on the final package with regard to the sentence text and drawing. thanks!
