Other color requirements
The German Wine Institute (DWI) use colours to indicate each of the different German wine growing regions. Here we are looking at a wine from the Baden region and this uses a sort of yellow colour. This does not need to be background colour of the label but it should be some how incorporated into the label...as a frame, or block or something like that.
Description of the product
A white wine from the Baden region in Germany packaged in a Burgundy shaped bottle using a screw cap (Stelvin) closure.
Description of the product target audience
45+ conservative Germans, predominantly women. The wines are sold directly and not in shops. The label does not need to be loud in order to attract attention. It should have some link to the history of the company and/or it"s founder Ferdinand Pieroth. the company in 2020 is both a wine producer and wine merchant.
A front label. The front label needs only to have the information about the Product Name, Region, Grape, Dryness indicator, Quality level, and the Vineyard information. All the normal legal information such as alcohol and volume will be on the back label. Front label dimensions are approx. 100mm x 80mm. Although the wine is generally bought by middle aged people it should still be interesting or attractive to a younger potential client. The wine company has a lot of history and the main founder was Ferdinand Pieroth. The information for the front label is: Wine Name or Brand = Ferdinand Pieroth, Variety= Grauburgunder, Region = Baden, Dryness = Trocken, Quality Indication = Kabinett, Vineyard Information = Königschaffhauer Vulkanfelsen
What to avoid
The wine needs to be totally separate to both the fonts/logos used by Pieroth Wine/Wein and the Estate wines...www.pieroth-weingut.de . The design should not be one that involves high printing costs i.e lots of gold leaf etc.
