Food & Drink
The Winery at Olney is an upscale, boutique urban winery located in a suburb of Washington, D.C. We make on-site over 26 varietals of high quality wine, made from grape product that we source from vineyards all over the world.
What's your vision?
We are about to launch a line of six (6) premium fruit-infused wines that we will wholesale to various retailers, wine stores, and restaurants for re-sale. We are calling this new line of wines our "Oasis Premium Fruit Wines." Each of the labels should be unique to the particular fruit-infusion (i.e. peach, blackberry, cranberry, etc.), but all of the labels should be of one unified branded design. The uniqueness of each might be the fruit graphic, color, & name. Most fruit wines are made from lesser quality grapes and therefor yield a finished product lower in quality. Our product will be made from higher quality grapes and will be marketed as a higher-end fruit wine. As fruit wines generally appeal to the younger or newer wine-drinking crowd, we wish our labels to be contemporary, eye-catching, and even perhaps a bit edgy. But as a "premium" product, we also want the label to convey a higher-end, classy brand. Our standard label size is 3 1/2" wide by 5" in long, but we are open to variations on that size and any dye-cuts you may wish to incorporate. The labels can be on a solid background or transparent. For the purposes of this contest, we hope that you can present us with designs for three of the series of our fruit-infused wines: Blackberry Bliss, Psychic Peach, and Cranberry Craze. These names should appear on the labels along with the legally required 750ML (for the size of the bottle) and ALC 10% BY VOL (for the alcohol content). We would also like the phrase "Best Served Chilled." We also would like our "Oasis Premium Fruit Wines" logo included. I have attached a working copy of our artwork for that, but we are open to whatever changes you would like to make. I have also attached a copy of our "The Winery at Olney" logo, though it should not be included in the label design. I attached it because we have used the wine stain artwork as a centerpiece of our current branding, signage, website (www.thewineryatolney.com) and logo. If you can incorporate the wine stain effectively in our fruit-wine labels that would be nice, but certainly not a requirement at all. I have also uploaded a couple of working designs on our label for the Blackberry Bliss. I also uploaded some other examples of a branded-look for fruit-infused wines (these are NOT our wines).
Please let me know if you should have any questions during the contest ... I will try to respond quickly. We are hoping to find just the right look for our exciting new brand of our Oasis Premium Fruit Wines, thank you!
