Saxenburg Dry White & Dry Red

The Dry Range is our entry level wines in the Saxenburg portifolio. Traditionally we only sold these wines under private, own labels to our clients. As a producer Saxenburg is one of the oldest South African Wine Estates, 1693, and is known as one of the top producers/Shiraz producers in the country. We have won numerous awards over the years, including Top 100 wines in the World, Wine Spectator. Our current range consists of The Guinea Fowl Range, Private Collection and Saxenburg Select Collection.

The Dry Range (White & Red) we plan to sell into retail and through our Cellar Door. The idea is to offer Saxenburg quality, but at a price where you can afford to drink it any day of the week, any occasion. The Retail appeal would have to be more female, since they make up majority of the buying power. Age would be spread, so would income and location. The target audience would be anyone that appreciates quality wine, from a heritage estate.

The farm's logo is 3 Guinea Fowl birds, which makes our product instantly recognizable, so it would have to make it onto the label in some shape or form. On the Premium Private Collection we have the full logo, our mid range just has the Guinea Fowl feather texture (have a look at the range). The ideal label would be minimalistic, but still convey our quality image/reputation, but in a more relaxed/low key way. Dry White/Red would have to appear on the front label, with the Saxenburg name. The wine comes from Stellenbosch, South Africa.

We have used a Guinea Fowl feather for the Guinea Fowl range before, so unfortunately it can't be used again for the Dry Range. The back label, bottom half needs to remain open for wine details, alcohol, etc. We don't currently put a vintage on the label, but that is open to the designer.
