Great experience. Very patient and super talented. Took my design from a vague idea to reality.
How cpetroff started their product label journey
I like the prominent product name.
I love the simplicity and dominant product name.
Fun logo that plays to the product and demographic. Also has a prominent product name.
I really like the small graphic on the top of the label as well as the prominent product name. I dont like this font though.
I like the prominent product name and the small graphic in the middle of the label.
I like the prominent product name and the small graphic on the label.
I like the image of the elephant. Bigger than what I want, but I really like the "pencil-sketch" look of a graphic on the label.
This is too modern for me, but I do like the universal label for two separate products. Also prominently places the product name.
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
We are very open to color suggestions. We have no set brand requirement at this point.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Food & Drink
Barrio Food Group, LLC
Primary: Carne Asada Secondary: Marinade Del Mar (should be used in a smaller font and under the primary)
Description of the product
We are bottling an authentic carne asada marinade. We would like the words "Carne Asada" to be prominent on the label. We would also like a small sketch/graphic of of some sort on the label. The first version of the marinade we are bringing to the market is the type that is often found along the coastal cities in Mexico. It is citrus based.cWe are using a 12oz bottle. It has an 8 inch circumference and the diameter of the bottle is 2.5 inches. Ideally we would like the label to be 2.5 inches tall and 8 inches long.
Description of the product target audience
Our demographic is truly a mixed bag. Initial data shows our largest target audience is the non-Hispanic consumer. MSRP is going to be $5-6 per jar. Being an ethnic food product, we would love the label to be very clean, have some level of Mexican nostalgia, but not overly boring like most food labels or overly trendy like several of the new products. We would like something as simple as a wine label, with the fisherman sketch/graphic along with all necessary food packaging info.
We would love a very simple label (think a very clean wine label) that incorporate some subtle elements of Mexican nostalgia. We would love this label to be our base label that we could use for other iteration of our marinade that will come to the market shortly after our initial product. See attached images. We really like images 7 and 8. WE like them because they incorporate the subtle sketch of the farm and the logo in the label. We also like because they incorporate some subtle "heritage" elements into the design. For image 2, we really like the simplicity and "farmhouse" feel. For image 5, we really like the font, along with the contrasting colors of the Tomatos and Tomato-Basil. All seem to make the product name prominent (except bunches & bunches). We will need an area to incorporate the Nutritional Facts, Allergies, and Ingredient List. We would also like a small area to describe the sauce (near the back or side of the label) We will also need an area reserved/placeholder for our UPC. We have not received this yet and will not be the end of this contest.
What to avoid
I would avoid a design that is overly "Mexican" or overly clunky in design (think Pace salsa). Also avoid making Barrio Food Group the prominent moniker on the label. We really want "Carne Asada" to be the prominent moniker.
8 inches long, 2.5 inches tall
I love the feel of this label and the background color. I really like contrasting color and subtle sketches around the brand name.
I love the contrast of the red Tomato graphic and the Red "Tomato-Basil" text. Love the font as well but feel it may not be right for a Carne Asada marinade.
One of our favorites. Love the prominent "Salsa" on label. Love the small wheelbarrow sketch. I don't like the grey-scale images in the background.
I love the contrast of the product name and brand name. I love the sketch of the farm on the label. I feel this label is "busy" though and I dont want a busy label.
