Description of the product
L’AUDE is a prestige vineyard from south of France, that has the mission of sharing the know-how of its region and of its winemaker in a modern way, breaking away from traditional, pretentious wine french industry. L’AUDE is made in a relatively small production, and in a sustainable way, with the aim of providing the best possible wine quality to our customers. This is what gives L’AUDE its prestige, almost luxury image, which is not common for rosés, traditionally viewed as cheap wines. L’Aude was named after the river that pass by Carcassonne, is the mineral source of their vineyard, which gives it its unique taste. We want our brand to reflect the heritage of this beautiful region, and the know-how of their winemakers.
Description of the product target audience
Our goal is to translate this storytelling into a modern & luxury brand identity to better reach our primary target: adults from 25 to 40 years whom are not necessarily wine experts, but rather epicureans. They're usually wealthy and enjoy partying/drinking in fancy places, and they like the soft taste of our wines that makes it so pleasant to drink, even in warm summer nights. By nature, Rosé and White drinker are generally women, but men should also be able to relate to our brand.
We want for the brand to have a recognizable element: A drop. A drop could be of water or wine. It could be from river l’Aude or from the wine. Our intention is to use the drop as an important, directly identifiable and differentiated element of the branding of L’AUDE. Think nike with the swoosh. In our “design sample”, the drop looks similar to the apostrophe but this is not a requirement: We do not want our name to have an extravagant apostrophe in its name but rather a nice logo/drawing/design around the idea of a drop. Our label needs to be sleek and classy but also modern and exciting. We were thinking about using non-traditional label in non squared shapes such as round or rectangular. Another idea was to make the drop transparent to let the colour of the Rose be visible through it.. But we're really open to suggestions! Thus, the biggest challenge is that even both bottles (Rosé and White) have to keep the same identity, one has to be reflect an idea of luxury/party (for the Rosé), while the other an idea of luxury and heritage: Please focus on the Rosé label, where the Chardonnay one would only be with different by its colour codes / paper used. If you do not have time to do both, do please focus on our flagship product: Rosé.
