We sell wine. Our Red wine is premium. It comes from estate vineyard. Our grapes are hand picked our vineyard is maintained by hand. We age our reds for a minimum of 3 years. This is not easy or cheap to do.
What's your vision?
Front Label • Good feedback coming from customers about hand dipped wax tawny • Picture of our view • Old style labels • Our Logo Font we like and want to keep. • Black and Burgundy • Burnt Crème • Old golden color • Use the tree as our coat of arms • 4” label size now too awkward we were looking for something smaller on front and larger on back • Top capsule make old world- look like an Italian import • Tree on top capsule/ building on top capsule • Keuka springs label inspiration: black label split by gold tree then either burgundy or white depending on wine • Just the name of the wine on the front • Consistency in fonts ( Bigger, bolder, all uppercase) • Hand-written labels (we all agreed on liking varietal and vintage as hand-written) .. • Clear labels • Smaller front label with bigger back label • Need to consider issues with putting label on. • Top of label arched not straight Back Label • Have family name (Cecere) on bottle • Must haves: • Wine tech notes Ta,Ph,R/s,Alc, • Barrel/ bottle age (months) and info • Production date • Production amount • Varietal name/ blend info • Hand Picked • Tons/acer 2-3/ instead of the 4-6 Our story: What is the difference between this wine and any other wine? Everything we do here we do by hand. The first process is done in the beginning of the year when the vineyard is cold and sometimes snow covered to cut all but three or four vines off of each plants growth from the previous year. Once this is done we go out and tie the vines to the wires. Once the vines start growing we have to go out and drop all the guide wires. When we have the right amount of growth we go out and pull the wires up. This will flip the vine up towards the sun. Our next process is fruit thinning. We go out into the vineyard and take a look at each plant. We examine each plant to see how many grape clusters we can get this plant to ripen and remove any clusters that don’t meet our standards. Each plant is different, some young some old some big some small, we have to use experience to decided how much we want to leave on the vine. Once the grapes start to ripen and the warm weather starts to head south we will start dropping clusters off the vine again based on how the grapes are developing. This is a big part of what makes our fruit so good. We can pick and choose what grapes will stay and make it into the wine and which ones will be dropped on the floor to go back into the earth. When the grapes have ripened every grape cluster is picked by hand allowing us to sort through the grapes, one last time. Once we bring in all the grapes and ferment the juice into wine the final process begins. In this process the wines are aged anywhere from one to five years in either an American, French, or Hungarian barrel. Once the tannins have softened we put the wine in the bottle. They must “sit” in the bottle for at least one year before we can present them to you. Cheers!
Typically the red wines on our shelves are 3 to 6 years old. We live in a white wine region but we are well known for our reds. Its hard to make good red wines in our region. It's also expensive. We like black, burgundy, and gold for colors. The theme at our winery is • Elegant and expensive looking • Extravagant • Old world and rustic • Aging/ handpicked • Italian building • Oak Tree • Ventosa colors: Black, Gold and Burgundy • Want a label to stand out • We want the customer to get to know us just by looking at the label
