Food & Drink
Pop Art is a snack food company that produces savory, organic gourmet popcorn for discriminating adult snack consumers. Pop Art is designed specifically for people who demand new, fun and different flavors in snack foods. Popcorn is our canvas and we paint each kernel with delicious and unique flavors. We consider ourselves “pop artisans” of popcorn and will constantly produce flavors that are new and different. The brand currently produces: • Rosemary Truffle • White Cheddar Jalapeno • White Pepper Parmesan • Thai Coconut Curry
What's your vision?
We are going to offer a new popcorn gift tin package. A photo of the tin is included in the downloads. The new gift package will need label designs. Our goal is to re-invent the boring “popcorn tin” design and create something fresh, vibrant and exciting. This will be a year round gift item and the design needs to work well with our logo and our current package design (please review logo and current package design in the file area) and be color specific for each of four flavors: • Rosemary Truffle (Purple) • White Cheddar Jalapeno (Green) • White Pepper Parmesan (Blue) • Thai Coconut Curry (Orange) We’ve included specific high-resolution images of the print template, the actual package, our products and the ingredients in files for you. You may use these in your contest entry or replicate the images in some artistic way and use those in your entries. The new labels need to be bold and unique like our flavors, but along with our logo, recognized as a sophisticated and premium brand for our gourmet popcorn company. The winning label designs will most likely incorporate the style of the “Pop Art” trend. If you are not familiar with what that means, please Google “pop art” and read all about it. We want to explore many pop art options. Each design should have its own artistic quality. Your original ideas are welcomed and encouraged. As we will be copyright protecting the work, all submitted designs must be original works. There are no restrictions on font style, however, our color flavor profiles should match our existing flavor colors. We want something that really “Pops” and can be used in conjunction with our Pop Art logo.
Mandatory Label Elements The final art will be printed directly onto the tin using flexography in a printed 4-color process. Then final print size is shown in the attached printing template. No significant design elements should exist 1/8 inches inside of the finished design dimensions. Please follow the print template that is included in the downloadable files. Here are the mandatory elements: 1. Must incorporate the Pop Art logo 2. Must use our existing, healthful call out art 2a. Gluten Free 2b. GMO Free 2c. Air Popped 3. You may work on one flavor in the beginning but the deliverables will need one design for each flavor and specific flavor identification 4. We only need background art where the "FPO" areas are on the template 5. The words “Gourmet Popcorn” needs to stand out Contest Winner must handover: 1. Unlocked and layered vector files in either .eps or .ai format for the entire label. 2. Font names and files including unique fonts created for the label 3. Jpeg color palette showing all colors used in the labels and their corresponding PMS, CMYK, RGB and HEX #s. A final note to all designers:Please, always be mindful of other designers and their designs. We have run many contests, have personal relationships with the staff and management of 99Designs and will report designers who steal from other competitors or who use rip-off clip art or public vector art. Your original ideas are welcomed and encouraged. As we will be copyright protecting the work, all submitted designs must be original works.
