Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a group of Harvard Business School students working on a startup that offers a tamari-almond/chickpea snack product, and we consider ourselves a fun, artisan brand. Our company seeks to provide protein snacks to health-conscience consumers who are looking for delicious, nutritious snacks everywhere they go.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We want you to design the labeling for our product prior to launch. The product labeling will be on 1-2 oz bags (picture attached). We purposefully selected clear bags, so our customers can see the content of our product prior to purchase. As such, there needs to be a proper balance between the size and shape of the label and the bag. On the top of the label should be our company name "chickPleas". Beneath that should be our product description: “simply salted and roasted chickpeas with tamari almonds.” Our slogan, ”just one handful will make you nuts for chicks" should be on the bottom. Lastly, the words "10 grams of protein," and "125 calories per serving" should be on the front.
We are a small company that seeks to appeal to a large demographic of healthy eaters. Through our brand we wish to convey an image of fun, health and style. There are two characters we are considering for the front of our label- a young, hip "Chickpea female" (think Betty Boop meets a chickpea) and a "Almond male". The almond is “nuts for chicks,” so he should posses a look of infatuation as he admires the chickpea.
