Food & Drink
Organic boutique vineyard in the Netherlands. We grow the grapes and produce the wines ourselves. We sell our wine directly to customers, but also to restaurants and retailers locally and nationaly.
What's your vision?
We want to re-design our wine-label. It should reflect the fact that we believe in the balance of nature. We want to use the same wine label for our red and white wines, maybe in different colours. We sell our wine to people who make a conscious decision to buy locally produced and organic. We sell most wine locally, but a fair amount is sold in Amsterdam as well.
We are a Dutch vineyard located near the Dutch/Belgian border. We grow grapes and produce wines (mainly white and red, but also grappa and champagne). We are a certified organic vineyard and we do not use any chemicals. We believe that there needs to be a balance in the vineyard that can battle , any plague or disease by it-self. A healthy soil with plenty of soil life is, we think, key to a good balance in the vineyard. The vineyard hosts spiders bees, hares, roes and harvest mice. We use clovers and other flowers as fertilisation between the rows of grapes. The name of the Vineyard is DASSEMUS, which is a small community consisting of a few houses and farms. The origin of the name is unknown, but in Dutch DAS means Badger and MUS means Sparrow. For inspiration, a style we like is MERUM wine. We use a Schlegel (drumstick) bottle in “masson” (deep dark) green. For the white wines we use a pink screw-cap. For the red wines we use a cork. (see pictures). The font used for our logo is Klarissa. The size of the label is 8x10 cm. We use an off-white paper label (antique style).
