Description of the product
We sell Private Label wines to many customers and retailers around the world and most particularly in Europe. There we have a fun project with a white wine, which would be sold at REWE, one of the biggest retailers in Germany. This entre-level white wine has to be what is called in this country a "Konzeptweine", basically a wine with a whole concept, on its label there. Let's keep in mind that this wine will be an entry-level one, and that its marketing will have to do the job, when one customer would have to buy an entry-level wine.
Description of the product target audience
REWE is one huge retailer in Germany, meaning there they check all the boxes in targeting. To be more precise, we would say a younger kind of target would buy this wine, as the concept and label would be really important there.
The most important concept we want to use here is the (silk)screen-printing. You'll find examples attached. This means the whole label is kind of directly-printed on the bottle, included on it. That's one way we'd like to see there as it is yet not so used in German wine retailers. The second most important stuff here is the fishy, oceany and marine creative vision. As we're talking about a white wine, this fishy universe would definitely suit. We showed the customer a few wine labels including fishes, seafoods, and other marine stuff, and they did love it indeed. You have to understand that screen-printing means that we're able to print a whole transparent label on almost a whole bottle, showing lots of possibilities, in terms of creativity. You'll find attached a few labels and bottles that could inspire you. Keep in mind it has to show a concept, a universe, an visual impact... but not too fancy though. Let's create something fresh, cool, original, not-too-serious, but not too crazy either. Bottle has to necessarily be a white Bordeaux-type bottle, no Burgundy or anything else. We'll use screwcaps too. At the moment, we'll use the name "Brise Marine", which basically means "See Breeze". A few other things that should help you in your creative process: - Daily-friendly-wine - Freshness - One-of-a-kind wine label (screen printed though!) - Can happen to have a minimalist style! If screen-printing method still doesn't ring a bell, just check out "screen printing wine bottles" on Google, I think that should help! :-)
What to avoid
- Do not mention any vintage - Do not mention our company name - Only mention the name of the wine, a few grapes (we shall go for Colombard grape) - You can mention the origin: "IGP Côtes de Gascogne" - Do not use too many colours, as we're limited to 6-7 colours maximum on a screen-printing label - Keep in mind: you have the whole bottle to paint, draw, design, etc... - IMPORTANT: please use the type of white Bordeaux bottle you'll find attached, no green ones, or Burgundy ones...
As it's a screen-printing process here, there aren't really definitive sizes. A surface around 190mm height and 235mm of length.
