Food & Drink
We are New York based family winemakers that produce Malbec and Rose wines from our vineyard located in the Uco Valley of Mendoza, Argentina. Our target audience is the sophisticated, cosmopolitan individual who appreciates contemporary art & design and is looking for a quality Argentine wine that is a good value. A portion of the proceeds of our wine sales are donated to local charities in NYC. Our buyers feel good about buying a bottle of wine that looks good, does good, and tastes great.
What's your vision?
Wine label for a standard 750ml bottle with DOBLE CRUZ (wine name), MALBEC (varietal), 2012 (vintage), and UCO VALLEY, ARGENTINA (region) on it. Looking for a strong graphic logo (see attached, or some variation) and label design reflecting our interest in contemporary art & design. The focus of the label is to stand out on the shelf, catch the eye, and convey a sense of contemporary cool. The bottle should look great on the shelf and be a conversation piece at a party or as a gift. We collect photography, street art, and graphic design print work so will respond best to labels which incorporate those elements. No preferences on font, text size, capitalization, label size, color, shape or layout.
The name of our wine is DOBLE CRUZ, which is "Double Cross" in English. We chose two Xs as a nod to our children who both have an X in their name (Nixon & Lexi). The myriad "Double Cross" internet references to the Knights of the Templar, Marilyn Manson, the Illuminati, and spies are fun, but not what the wine or our label is about. For reference, a few of the artists we like & collect are: Shepard Fairey, Gerhard Richter, Conor Harrington, Maya Hayuk, Ryan McGinness, KAWS, Ed Burtynsky, Matthew Brandt, Barry McGee and WK Interact.
