marioabateny got their new product label by running a design contest:
Design an attention-getting label for the next big vodka!

Food & Drink
Recognize is a vodka brand, built on value and quality. The spirit is produced from an organic Dutch wheat. It is distilled in Holland and bottled in Upstate New York at a small craft distillery. The target consumer is the outgoing, social, "Alpha" of the pack, who can Recognize a great vodka, as well as a great value. I want an attention-getting label to invite these consumers to give the brand a second look in this competitive product category.
What's your vision?
I want Recognize to become a well-known brand. The bottle is a very basic, 1-liter glass bottle, with a screw top closure. It's actually the same bottle that Tito's uses (or very, very close to it). I’ve posted a small image of the bottle, and I’ll post a larger picture later, if I can find one. With such a basic bottle, the label has to do a lot of work- it has to get the bottle noticed, keep the consumer’s attention, and convey the fun, outgoing, sexy, wild personality of the brand in a memorable way. I have only a few specific requirements of the design: 1. Ruby Red has to be a prominent color, to correspond to the color of the capsule that I’m using. The pantone color code is PMS 201C, in case that helps. 2. I want the Aries sign, the ram, to be a prominent design element. I have an image that I'm particularly fond of, but I don't want to post it right away- I want to see what you come up with first. 3. I'd like the "R" in "Recognize" to be distinctive, so that once the name and the logo gain a little recognition, I can use it on its own. 4. The size of the label is 10.5" x 5". It wraps all the way around the bottle. It will be printed on paper, with a matte finish. Design-wise, that's it for now. I'm really excited to see what you come up with, within those loose parameters. I'll eliminate designs and provide feedback all day long, as soon as I start receiving submissions, so you can understand exactly what I'm interested in and we can quickly arrive at a great design! There are a few statements that have to be included on the label somewhere, legally- I'll include them in the "Other" section, below.
There are a few things that the label MUST include: 1) The Government Warning (easily found through Google) 2) The size & alc. content statements: 1 Liter (or 1L), 40% alcohol / volume (or 40% alc / vol) 3) The statement "Bottled by ADCo Brands, Albany, NY" 4) The statement "Distilled 6 (or Six) Times from Organic Dutch Wheat" 5) Placeholder for a UPC 6) I like the phrase "Recognize Responsibility," perhaps somewhere near the Government Warning
