INTRODUCTION As a wine producer, Mica Australia is looking to redesign two of our existing label design in our 'Athena and Arete' range of wines. The labels will be used for a Pink Rosé and Red wine, and it will be differentiated slightly from the existing labels in our current range in terms of the way its targeted, as well as the overall art style and design. TARGET CONSUMERS The target demographic of consumers will be both female and male (25+). Consumers can be described as highly educated, cultivated, culturally aware and well-travelled. As such, we need a distinctive and artistically inspired illustration and overall design style that captures the imagination and draws our target consumers in to explore the Pink Rosé and Red wine further.
What's your vision?
NAMING: For the Rosé, we have decided upon the name Athena, and for the Red Wine we have decided upon the name Arete. DESIGN: It is required that the designs should be in line with our existing theme. (IMAGES 1,2,3,4,5,6 - the existing wine range/label design) ATHENA (Rosé) The overall placement of the logo 'Athena Rosé' and the surrounding roses should still be kept exactly the same. However we would like to feature quite classical illustrations of roses, in a slightly abstract and watercolour style. It is proposed that the colour theme is to be washed away tones of pink, red and even white (keep in mind that the colour of the Rosé is quite red, so colours need to be lighter in order for it to be visible). We would like the overall feel of the label design and the illustration used to communicate a quality wine with a certain level of prestige. (IMAGE 7- inspiration) ARETE (Red Wine) Similarly, The overall placement of the logo 'Arete Merlot' and the surrounding tree should be kept the same as well. We would like the illustration of the tree to be in theme with the Athena Rosé (classical illustrations/slightly abstract and washed away water colour palette). The colour of the tree should be washed away tones of beige/cream white. Again, we would like the overall feel of the label design and the illustration used to communicate a quality wine with a certain level of prestige. (IMAGE 8,9,10- Inspiration) With all this in mind, we are happy for designers to contribute their own ideas and interpretations for further inspiration.
The final artwork is required to be in ai/eps format.
