Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We grow and make wine in Oregon's Willamette Valley. The wine is naturally grown without chemicals or fertilizers. Our target audience is 30-60 males and females that want to buy a good - premium price wine ($10-15 per bottle). We make less than 1500 cases a year so we are a very small, family owned operation.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We would like a wine label that will attract attention on the shelf. It should look classy (not inexpensive) and have the colors of French Provincial yellow and blue (which match our building). The label sizing is 3.5" wide x 2.5" tall. The basic label will be a template for several varieties of grapes. The varietal of the wine (Oregon Red) needs to be able to be changed to other flavors (such as Pinot Grigio) for another product. A pheasant of some sort should be encorporated in the design- but it does not need to be the main feature.
There are many wines in the world. These are grown on our land and made by us from our grapes. We would like packaging the stands out as a classy alternative to cheap wines.
