The 3 Nuts are nut butter lovers and makers from New York. We make artisanal nut butters in a variety of innovative flavors. Our food philosophy is to create full-flavored products using as few ingredients as possible. We like to consider ourselves an all-natural indulgence. The 3 Nuts differentiates itself from most products on the market because it is directed towards adults. It targets the conscious buyer who wants to indulge in an all-natural decadence. For instance, many of our customers have wanted to make a switch from peanut butter to almond butter because of its many health benefits, but find most almond butters to be too bland. The 3 Nuts offer the consumer a happy medium, and customers are pleasantly surprised when introduced to a flavorful almond butter that is made in small batches using wholesome ingredients such as organic agave, sea salt and a blend of spices. Over the past year we have focused a majority of our sales at farmers markers on Long Island and food festivals in Brooklyn. The community that gathers at these weekly farmers markets is looking to support local, small batch food artisans. Customers are looking for an alternative to the mass produced, overly processed foods that dominate the shelves. The unique flavor combinations such as the coconut cashew and the salted caramel peanut butter, our best sellers, draw curious customers in. Although nut butters are nostalgic treats meant for men and woman of all ages, generally women aged anywhere in their early twenties to mid sixties come to the market to purchase products for themselves and their families. As we continue to grow we do hope to shift our focus over to wholesale, and aim to focus on gourmet grocery stores featuring other local products, much like the stores we are sold in now. We eventually hope to expand to larger grocery chains who have an appreciation for, and a customer base looking to buy artisanal products made with care and thought about what is going into them.
What's your vision?
The winner of this competition will be receiving payment, and a package of our gourmet nut butters! In order to get a better feel of your esthetic, we would like to see designs for three of our flavors and safety seal stickers. The winner of this contest would then be required to make an additional three labels for our other flavors and their safety seal to complete our line. The winner must also be willing to tweak the designs before, and possibly after the competition, and in a timely fashion. The winner must also be willing to sign a contract agreeing to give The 3 Nuts complete ownership of these designs and should be open to work on future flavors and products we develop. We want a design that is clean, simple, elegant and eye catching. Since we have so many flavors we would like there to be clear product differentiation. We would like to keep a limited pallet on each label because the more colors we use the more expensive it is going to be to print our labels. The safety seal sticker is meant to keep our product from being tampered with so the design could be as simple or elaborate. It is an integral part of the design and should complement the label. The jars dimension is as follows: size: 8 oz lid size: G70 CT height: 4 in outside diameter: 2.88 in circumference: 8.63 in Since we use glass tapered jars the labels need to be made on a curve, the format for this layout will be attached as a pdf with the other helpful links. I was thinking a good dimension for the safety seal would be half an inch by 5 in. There is different required information that must go on every label, each varies on the flavor. For this competition we are asking you to make labels for three of our best sellers; Coconut Cashew Butter, Cookie Dough Peanut Butter and Salted Caramel Peanut Butter.
