We are a new winery creating our first wine labels and bottling our first commercial release in Feb. 2015. Our focus will be on direct to consumer sales in the US via web presence. Little Room came from the "little room" in our garage where we made our wine, so has some significance to the start of making wine. It is the beginning of something bigger.
What's your vision?
We need 4 wine labels featuring an emblem design for Little Room Winery. Right now for our business cards, we are using a picture of tempranillo grapes going through verasion. (It's the attached picture green w/some ripening grapes). Regarding the start in wine labels design, we have an idea that we keep going back to tying in "Symphony In Glass" (because it represents the harmony created when blending different grapes) with a pictured violin, sheet music background, but we don't know how to integrate the "wine" look. We thought of placing a vineyard in the violin as a background and using bunches of grapes as the notes on the sheet music, as a way to bridge between an instrumental symphony and a symphony in the wine glass. Our other 2 wine label concepts continue to be along the lines of symphony/harmony one with a piano and other with wine glass with music notes flowing through it. Our concept designs are attached if you can put your spin on them. Your designs do not need to follow these concepts they are just what we came up with. We look forward to seeing your creation! We need wine labels for use on the burgundy bottle (tapered neck) the following blends: 1.) 2013 Quintet Red Wine Blend, 2). 2014 Quartet Red Wine Blend and 3.) 2014 Trio White Wine Blend. However, we can use the same label for all three wines and just do minor changes with the color/year/wine varietal name. Burgundy bottle shape is attached. Here is a link of wine bottles with cool labels on bing images, on http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=Cool+Wine+Labels&FORM=IRIBEP&crslsl=0 Again, we don't have to stick to the symphony/harmony theme or the wording of Quintet, Quartet, Trio for the wines, it was just something that we kicked around to tie it together. The last wine label 4.) 2013 Old Vine Zinfandel, Lodi CA as the grape varietal, needs to be enticing, striking, and edgy with a classy feel. Scratch the classy feel actually. Old vine zinfandel vines were planted in the 1940's from Mohr-Fry Ranch http://www.mohrfry.com/gallery.html . I don't have a sample design for this wine. I have to say this vine is a monster, picture attached. Love to see this vine coming out of the bottle with personality after all it's 70 years old. The 2 red blends and white wine blend (mentioned above as 1,2, 3, will be bottled in burgundy bottles (tapered, attached picture shape), antique green in color, wine label size to be 4.25" wide x 3.50" high. The Zinfandel will be bottled in antique green Bordeaux bottles, (shoulder shape attached picture) wine label size will be different then the ones above, wine label size 3.50" width x 5.0" high max size. We want to match capsules to the dominate color in the labels. Label Requirements by law will be met on the back label which we are not asking to be done. With the exception of the alcohol content % that we can squeeze in somewhere. The images in my designs were taken from images not sure if I can even use. Thanks very much and Good Luck! I can't wait to see the creations.
I've attached picture of the particular bottle shapes we are using: burgundy (the 2 red and 1 white wine blends) and Bordeaux bottle which is for the Zinfandel.
