Food & Drink
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Upmarket maple syrup and maple butter products. The maple syrup is imported from Canada and into South Africa. We will make the 3 main grades available to the public in addition to introducing them to maple butter. These are high end, pure and healthy food products.
The syrup is organic but I don't think that the maple farm has gotten its certification so the word Organic is probably not available to be used (I am confirming this)
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I like the idea of having pharmaceutical glassware as the packaging. So a conical flask with cork for the syrup and a beaker with cork for the maple butter. The glassware would not be graduated. The text would be either in white or possibly gold. I do not yet have any artwork except for this idea: the label is to have the continent of Africa in the place of the letter 'A' in the word "maple". There should only be two words on the front of the bottles: pure maple. The back of the bottle will include more information on the source of the product, some information on the grade and a tongue in cheek phrase or two and additional contact information.
Description on the back of the bottle should include some if not all these words: Un-diluted, Banting Friendly, Vegan, Low Gi, GMO Free, 54 anti-oxidants, Sustainable
I would like for the table to be minimal, upmarket, hipster, healthy and quirky.
Here are keywords I associate with the company's ethos, branding and aesthetics: pure, healthy, important, instructional & educational, original & genuine, delicate, rare, versatile, yet to be fully discovered, gold, white, wood, not kitsch, no log cabins or maple leaves, nectar of the gods
