Create a Super Cool Wine Brand to Help a Great Cause
We are creating a brand-new wine brand that will mostly be sold in grocery and wine stores. The wine industry is incredibly crowded and for that reason the label needs to really stand out on a crowded shelf. The first wine we will introduce will be a red wine from Southern France.
The brand will primarily be font driven. The name needs to be easily readable and recognizable from 5 feet away. We are not looking for pictures of vineyards or wineries. We are not opposed to icons but they need to be complimentary. The name of the brand will be BG2. The name stands for ‘Be Good or Be Gone’ so it could be BG2 or BG². We do not envision putting the words Be Good or Be Gone anywhere on the front label but if you can do this in an interesting, creative way to do it that keeps the label looking upscale and memorable we are not totally opposed to it.
Description of the product target audience
Our target audience is slightly more male but there are plenty of women we will try to purchase it. the consumers will be largely college educated 24-49 and live largely in urban areas.
We will need a total package - front and back label, capsule and carton - for all designs just concentrate on the front label.
Why the name –
Good People – Good Wine – Good Cause
Good People - It is about working with great people whom we enjoy working with, value their friendship and have a common mission. The older you get the more you realize the true value in surrounding yourself with good quality people. Life is too short to work with people that are not aligned with us from a business or ethical standard. In deciding who to partner with we live with the mantra Be Good or Be Gone.
Good Wine – You can be an excellent friend but for this specific project we can only work with people who can offer incredible wine. We must be diligent about giving every American consumer an outstanding product. If you want to supply grapes to this project, you winery and vineyards must Be Good or Be Gone.
Good Cause - Fortunately we have been successful in the wine business and this success affords us the opportunity to do some good. We are launching this wine in the hopes of using it to support a charity we believe in. Instead of just adding our charitable donation on to the price of the wine and have consumers pay more we have dramatically reduced any profit we will ever make so the charity can see real financial support. For this brand over 2/3 of our profits will go to our designated charity.
We have not yet finalized our charitable partner so there could be a hint at charitable giving on the design but it will not have the charity logo or anything like that on the front label.
We hope you help us take on this challenge. The wine must look upscale and if a consumer has it in their hands they must feel like it is at least a $20 bottle of wine. Besides the BG2 brand name on the front label it should say Super Southern Red, France
What to avoid
The label can not be difficult to see the brand name, and it must not look cheap or inexpensive
We can do a range of dimensions as well as things like foils and embossing.
