Food & Drink
Dutch Treat Foods is a manufacturer of food products for grocery store delis. Products include deli salads, specialty dips, etc. Target market includes middle to upper middle class families.
What's your vision?
We are launching a new dip product called "Dip Kickers." It is a line of dips that includes spinach and artichoke, fiesta, southwest, creamy garlic, etc. The brand is fun (our brand logo will be included for a reference), energetic, young, and exciting. We need a label designed that incorporates the logo and supports our brand's identity. The package that the product will be in is round / cylinder in shape. It is about 1.5 inches deep and around 5 inches wide. The top of the package will have a round label on the top cover and we also need a nutrition label that is rectangle in shape that will wrap around the side of the cylinder. We want the logo to be the main focus of the label on the top and the side label needs to have the logo smaller with room for nutrition and ingredients. The top of the label is mainly about the logo and needs to be dressed up a bit to simply support the brand identity.
Have fun. Keep it simple. Don't get too crazy with your designs. We like it fun, energetic, and relatively simple. The top label should be a circle that is 4.5 inches in diameter. The side label should be a rectangle that is 7 inches wide and .625 inches tall. I am attaching samples of the two labels that another company did for us which are total crap, awful and terrible. Please do not design anything like those labels because they are super boring and dumb. I include them only as a reference for the shape that we are going for (actually, the bottom rectangle label isn't too bad as it includes mostly nutrition and ingredient information- which is fine). I am also including copies of our logo for you to incorporate into your label design.
