Food & Drink
We are looking to bottle our first batch of wine made open to the public. Currently we operate a full functioning farm offering harvesting, grape hauling and customer farm work. Our company is expanding into the wine market. We grow several varietals in Lodi, Ca. and the owner (our dad, Rafael Viramontes) was born in Mexico and grew up farming in lodi, ca starting at age 11. A true definition of the American dream. The target audience for this wine..all red wine drinkers.
What's your vision?
We need a front and back wine label for a bordeaux style glass bottle. The Front Label:should include the name Viramontes Vineyards. The name and year of the wine (tempranillo 2012, this should also be made editable as the variatal will vary). We would love something simple yet eye catching. We have been looking at labels with a black background and silver writing (also like black background with red writing), however open to alternative ideas on this front. An idea we have been throwing around includes creating a design that includes R,V and V shaped or created into a symbol. Although the name is Viramontes Vineyards, the owner is Rafael Viramontes so we want to include the R in the logo design. The back label should include: Where the wine is grown and bottled (Lodi, ca). Alcohol content ml brief story or description about where Viramontes vineyards started Government warning We were throwing ideas around about having a simple etching of a roman catholic church on the back but could not find any pictures of churches where our father is from (San José de Cosalima, Zacatecas Mexico).
Although we have been looking at these particular design themes we are open to creative ideas (you're the artist not us). Keep in mind that with so many wine labels on the shelf we need to be able to zero in on this design. The uploaded photos were taken from the internet and were simple ideas/layouts that caught our eye. These images are not our design.
