What's your vision?
A whisky label for our own bottling. This will be our 'standard' bottling. It will have an overarching design style that will be used for our Highland, Speyside and Islay bottlings. It should leave room for a Premium tier of the same 3 regions to be bottled with greater age and higher price point. Regulations on whisky label design can be found here, which show what MUST be displayed: http://www.scotch-whisky.org.uk/what-we-do/protecting-scotch/regulations/ The Standard bottling front label will have an age statement but will not state the distillery. It will contain; Cambridge Wine merchants logo will be at the top, relatively small. 'Family name' Cambridge Distilled. (Or similar Wordplay to include cambridge and whisky connotation) 'Bottling name' Highland Wind, Speyside Fire, Islay Earth 'Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky' '10 Years old' The rear label will contain a description and keep the same theme. • 70cl STANDARD FRONT LABEL SIZE IS 100mm wide x 125mm high • 70cl STANDARD BACK LABEL SIZE IS 80mm wide x 100mm high
A blend of modernity and tradition is required. The bottle shape is standardised as is the gold foil. As seen below. http://static.wine-searcher.net/images/labels/85/04/gordon-macphail-connoisseurs-choice-coleburn-single-malt-scotch-whisky-speyside-scotland-10388504.jpg Examples of products that suit our style are: Tamdhu 10 https://www.thegreenwellystop.co.uk/whiskyshop/images/uploads/Tamdhu/May13-Tamdhu-10.jpg Old particular http://whiskyexperts.net/wp-content/uploads/DL-New.jpg As you can see the old particular range in this image has a family theme. I would like to see each of the three bottlings have similar subtle differences.
