Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Lonely Oak Distillery is craft distiller of premium, hand made spirits. We are one of the few on-farm distilleries in the nation. A true, seed to spirit distillery. This allows us to control the quality of our spirits through the entire process from planting the seed, harvesting, storing, milling, mashing, distilling, aging, and finally bottling.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
Our newest spirit is Steeple Ridge Gin. Our distillery is located on our family farm. From that location you can see the steeples of 3 Catholic churches, from the three surrounding communities, one of which soars 150' high. Hence the name, Steeple Ridge. I have included photos of each of the churches. For perspective, the tallest church steeple is 3 miles east of the farm, the white church is 5 miles south east of the farm, and the shortest steeple is 2 miles south of the farm. All of my other labels have as a background a plat map of our township, but i am not sure if that can be incorporated into this design, but possibly a map of the area as a faint background, but I am not sold on this idea for this label, just a thought. The communities are Earling, Panama, and Westphalia, Iowa if you would like to map it. Please know that I am looking for something original, out of the box, the map idea is in no way a mandatory item in the label. I have attached several files to show you the labels that I am currently using, photos of the churches, my logo, etc. If you need more direction, please let me know.
You may come up with an idea, beyond the steeples or without steeples at all. The 3 steeples are my inspiration, but I look for you to use it as you wish. Let the creative juices flow. Also, the other labels that I uploaded are for demonstration purposes and sizing. Please feel free to use them or not use them as you wish, but please know that I am looking for something new and original. Please note that I do not plan on using a clear or screen printed bottle, but will be using a paper label.
