Big Al's Restaurants
Big Sissy Lager
Big Sissy Lager is a light American lager originally brewed by Big Al's American Kitchen, a mini-chain of American restaurants in Barcelona, Spain. Craft beer is still a new thing in Spain, and the majority of consumers are trying it for the first time at Big Al's, so it's been formulated to be approachable for these first-timers. Now we have an opportunity to sell it at retail in cans.
First-time craft beer buyers. People of all demographics who are accustomed to buying domestic Spanish industrial lagers. These are for sale in supermarkets so need good shelf appeal, and will be competing for attention among industrial beers like Estrella, San Miguel, Mahou, Cruz Campo, and international brands such as Heineken and Corona. This is different from typical craft beers in that it isn't an IPA or stout or sour or saison; it's meant to be accessible for newbies and needs to highlight the fact that it's light and not too strong.
A label for a can of beer, with a central theme that we can use in marketing materials. We have a mascot for one of our burgers (see the widowmaker image attached) and like this style, though it isn't necessary to make it look similar. We also have had a crude mascot for the beer made in the past (see big sissy poster, attached) for reference, there is no need to include anything from there. Finally there is a provisional label attached, which contains the size and required legal text. To be clear, we don't want to reuse anything from these examples, they are just for reference.
Please note: We need to include the text (in Spanish) "Cerveza Artesana Suavecita" prominently on the label. This means "light craft beer" and it's important because it describes the product. Apart from this text and the legal text (ingredients, produced by, etc.) which must be in Spanish and are provided for reference in "provisional label", any other text will be in English, including the words "American Lager".
The name is kind of a joke because many customers who weren't used to craft beer complained that they were too strong, bitter, toasted, etc., and so we brewed a very light lager called Big Sissy for them. Most people in our market do not know what sissy means, so feel free to camp it up with the mascot/character/whatever. Young, fun, high quality are the themes.
To summarize (in my mind, you're the designer, you know better than I do how to arrange this stuff) from top to bottom on the label:
"Cerveza Artesana Suavecita"
"Big Sissy Lager" and some kind of mascot or character or other logo image
"American Lager"
The Big Al's logo needs to be incorporated but does not need to be prominent. It can go on the back, or put it on a t-shirt the mascot is wearing.

Corporate colors are white and pantone 484, but it is not necessary to use them - we want the cans to stand out on the shelf.
Please note these are 33cl cans, not 12Oz American cans and thus use a smaller label size 204x86mm.
We don't want to look like traditional, German or Spanish beers with antique-style text and shields and coats of arms etc.
