Winemaker Maurizio Marchetti is meticulous about everything he does in both the vineyard and winery. In the winery he has a pneumatic press for a single, extremely light press of the grapes, called a “flower press.” Or, as Maurizio says with a nudge and a wink, “butterflies crush my grapes with their wings as they fly by.”
We love this story and would like to incorporate a butterfly as an icon on the label. The tricky thing is the wine must look elegant so simply a big brightly colored butterfly will not work.
Please think how the brand name ‘Marchetti’ can be incorporated into the label. The icon could be a simple shape, an emboss or colorful but whatever direction it needs to be refined and elegant.
We do not want images of vineyards and would recommend against a predominantly dark or black label.
We are very open to a wide variety of designs. We will look at different colors, fonts and icons. The overall design needs to look upscale and be very memorable since it will be sold on very crowded shelves amongst hundreds of other wines.
