Food & Drink
We make healthy and gourmet food products catering to the health-conscious and highly demanding consumers who want delicious foods yet want their foods to come with all natural ingredients, with very little sodium, gluten free, using non-GMO or organic supplies, with no preservatives/additives. We also want our products to cater to the growing vegetarian/vegan diets. The Vogue Cuisine soup and seasoning bases are great for soups, seasoning & marinades. They are also delicious salt substitutes, in convenient powder form. Can be used as stock (can make instant, hearty broths), for sauces and gravy, salad dressing/dips, or sprinkle on grains, pasta, broiled / steamed / sautéed vegetables, potatoes, beans, tofu, pasta, yogurt, popcorn and many more! Our products are: • Low Sodium (among the lowest available on market) • Gluten Free • 100% Natural • uses non-GMO soy • with main ingredients organic (>50% - working to increase to 70%+ & get organic certification) • Made in USA, with 90%+ ingredients sourced in USA • No Preservatives. No Additives. No HVP. No added MSG. • Low Carbohydrates. 15 Calories per serving. We have five great flavors (existing products): 1) Vegebase (vegetable soup/seasoning base) * 2) Chicken 3) Beef (vegetarian)* 4) Onion* and 5) Vegetarian Chicken*. *Certified vegetarian & vegan. Product currently comes in two sizes: small jars (4oz jars) and large jars (12oz jars). The company has 70+ years of history. It has been a small family business and is currently looking to expand the visibility and awareness of its products & brand to wider platforms.
What's your vision?
We are launching two new products - 1) tomato soup & seasoning base and 2) mushroom soup & seasoning base. These will inherit the characteristics of our other products - all natural, low sodium, gluten free, certified vegan, with non-GMO soy & major ingredients organic (we currently have not certified to be all non-GMO or main ingredients organic but the work is in progress). We will need exciting & attractive product labels for these two products. We want a more modern design for our soup & seasoning bases for all our products, but will use the two new product lines as the basis for our new product labels. The labels will need to work with the current product packaging - 4oz and 12oz jars (images included in the design package). We want the new labels to convey - healthy, vegetarian, delicious/gourmet & energy/warmth - and make our new tomato base and mushroom base attractive to trendy/young/health-conscious/high-end buyers whether they are seeing our products on the shelf or online. We do hope the new design can also convey a sense of tradition (given the long company history) and some link/common elements with the past, but that will only be secondary goal. (The existing product labels are included in the design package as a reference. We have also included an introduction document on the company and its products.) The designer is encouraged to be creative - make our products standout, be uniquely "Vogue" Cuisine. There will be 2 label designs - one for tomato base, and one for mushroom base. Each design will be fitted to 2 packaging labels - one for small 4oz jar and one for large 12oz jar. So there will be 4 label files generated. (Dimensions details are included in design package.) Some data files are included - like UPC codes and certified vegan logos. The company product logo is also included (but that can be changed/morphed if necessary to fit the designer's ideas). The nutrition key is a new recommendation to put at the front of the product label (4 small blocks) - it is optional but the designer can look into if such can be integrated nicely or not. Nutritional facts data (in table form), ingredients data, company location data etc. can be mocked up (not supplied, but can copy from existing product labels just to illustrate) - these are to be put on the back side of the label together with the UPC code. These nutritional facts table and ingredients text will be changed by the company in future before making the label final print design - so please have those as separate layers in the design file and the texts can be modified with ease. The company logo, product name, vegan certification logo, key messages like gluten free, all natural, low sodium, etc. are to be on the front side of the label and should be made most attractive to eyes as it is the part that will be displayed on the shelf. Please deliver the label files in .ai format for the final winning designs (more requirements in "Other" section). A rendering of the mock-up labels on the jar showing the front view for the two bases (on a jar with black-cap) will be helpful to see the overall design. It is a nice-to-have but is not required. The most important is the label design itself, so if a designer doesn't have the tools to do the rendering view, don't need to do and just submit the 2D label designs. (We will print the label design and wrap it on our jar to visualize... and evaluate accordingly) Note - the small jar has a yellow cap and the big jar has a black cap. The label design should work well with both cap colors. (We may consider changing the yellow caps for 4oz jars to black caps in future.)
Contest Winner must submit to us: 1. Unlocked and layered vector files in .ai format for the entire label design file. 2. Font names and files including unique fonts created for the label 3. Jpeg color palette showing all colors used in the labels and their corresponding PMS, CMYK, RGB and HEX #s. Note: We welcome and will encourage original ideas and designs. As we will be copyright protecting the designs, all submitted designs must be original works. We intend to hire the winning designer for ongoing design services (e.g. re-design our existing product labels for 5 existing flavors) and future new products/flavors. We are looking for a great designer who can help us position our full line of products for expansion and increase shelf attractiveness & enhance healthy/gourmet messaging to existing & new buyers.
