We need a label designed for our product. Here are some details about our product that should be incorporated in the label somehow, as far as there is sufficient space. The product's name is Xeransis, and it is a clinical strength antiperspirant. The product volume is 1.2 FL OZ (35.5 ml). The product is fragrance and dye free and contains 15% aluminum chloride, the #1 doctor recommended active ingredient for treating excessive perspiration. In fact, essentially all prescription antiperspirants contain aluminum chloride, while most over-the-counter products contain other less effective active ingredients. It provides up to 72 hours of sweat protection per application. Due to the strong concentration of the most effective active ingredient available, Xeransis can dramatically reduce sweating even if other antiperspirants have failed. I think a good tag line would be "stop sweat for good" or something like that.
Ideally the label will be reminiscent of a prescription drug logo or other drug label in order to promote confidence in the product. Except it doesn't need to be as conservative and boring as those types of labels. The label will be applied to a white bottle, so keep that in mind as you create your designs. Also, I would like the color of the product name to be blue and the colors of any other text or designs to be blue, black, gray or a similar color. I want calming colors, so avoid red, yellow, orange, etc.
A challenging part of this label design is that it is very small. It will be applied to a 3 oz spray bottle. Because of its small size, the product name and any other text should be fairly large so that it can be read easily. The bottle the label will be attached to is narrow, so the label should make effective use of vertical space. It would probably be best for the name of the product to be displayed vertically somehow, because if it is shown horizontally it will be hard to read the whole name without rotating the bottle. Again, if that looks dumb when you put it together feel free to submit something different.
The entire label will be 2 inches tall and 5 inches long, but about a third of that label will be the drug facts section and barcode, which have already been created and cannot be altered. The rest of the label is fair game.
As far as the general layout is concerned, I envision the left portion of the label containing the product name/logo and descriptive info. I would like the middle section of the label (between the name/descriptive info and the drug facts) to have a basic application guide, with a couple of very simple pictures, that incorporates the following application details: "Xeransis should be applied right before bedtime, when sweat glands are least active. Xeransis will absorb into the skin as you sleep. In the morning, shower as usual and go about your day sweat free. It may take up to a week of use for Xeransis to reach its maximum effectiveness." The wording on these points can be changed, but the general idea should be the same. And the pictures can be very simple, black and white line drawings illustrating a couple of the steps. If there isn't space for the pictures they can be omitted.
