Food & Drink
We make small batch, handcrafted cocktail mixes. Our target market is the more affluent spirit drinker looking for something unique and of high quality to replace the mass produced penny mixes currently on the market.
What's your vision?
I want a redesign of the existing label. I need a label for 8 products. There is a strong possibility that the winning designer will be asked to produce more labels in the future, obviously at my expense. The labels will have a similar look but with minor variations for each product. There are certain elements that need to be included and consistent between products. I want to tap into the prohibition era, think 30's apothecary, vintage tattoos, a classic old school look. You don't have use anything from the existing label other than the company name and product name. Must Haves: The dimensions of the labels used are: 18cm x 7cm (7 1/8" x 2 3/4") I am using a clear glass Boston Round 8oz/ 250ml bottle It is important that what ever final files are delivered that I can edit text and all elements are separate layers. I work with GIMP that can import most standard image files. If you don't want to add all the ingredients or custom cocktail recipes just provide the fonts and place holder and I will do that part. A space is required for a vertical Nutritional Information Tab. This tab doesn't not have to be more than 15% of the total area. I will provide a link to the panel, don't worry about that actual numbers and values. I need ingredients listed if both french and english, don't worry about the translation I can do it but just make sure there is space for both. I need a place holder for Batch No. A place holder for 250ml that has to be on the front panel of the label Must have "Refrigerate After Opening" and "Shake Well Before Each Use" and "Makes 8-16 cocktails". There wording can change as long the message is the same. Would Like to Have: I would also like to incorporate that the mixes are from "Ottawa, Ontario, Canada" I would like to include a cocktail recipe with each product. I can provide this or you can read them off of the existing labels that I will provide. A link to our website www.splittree.ca It would be nice to work in just what the product is as some people are confused. It would be nice to include the fact the mixes are handcrafted in small batches using fresh and dry whole ingredients with no corn syrup, dyes or artificial flavours (Yes flavour is spelled with a U up here) or sweeteners or preservatives The products are: Tonic No.1 Ingredients: Water, Raw Sugar, Cinchona Bark, Citric Acid Tonic No.3 Ingredients: Water, Ra,w Sugar Fresh Lemon and Lime Juice and Zest, Fresh Lemongrass, Cinchona Bark and Citric acid. THE INGREDIENT ORDER IS IMPORTANT Grapefruit Cordial Ingredients: Fresh Grapefruit Juice and Zest, Raw Sugar Lime Cordial: Ingredients: Fresh Lime Juice and Zest, Raw Sugar Grenadine: Ingredients: Fresh Pomegranate Juice, Raw Sugar, Pomegranate Molasses (pomegranate juice, raw sugar, lemon juice), Rosewater Rhubarb & Elderflower Cordial Ingredients: Water, Raw Sugar, Fresh Rhubarb, Fresh Lemons, Elderflowers, Citric Acid Vanilla Ginger Syrup Ingredient: Water, Raw Sugar, Fresh Ginger, Whole Vanilla Beans, Ascorbic Acid Sour Mix: Ingredients: Fresh Lemon and Lime Juice and Zest, Yuzu Juice, Raw Sugar, Water
I really want to stand out from my competition and at the same time have a visible, clean label that is easy to read. The current labels are too dark and hard to figure out what I am selling. I realize the label is small and there is a lot of information to fit so perhaps simpler is better. This is a Pintrest board of my competition: https://www.pinterest.com/SplitTree/cocktails/ This is a Pinetrest board of branding I really like: https://www.pinterest.com/SplitTree/labels/ I especially like the branding of this company, http://dillons.ca/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/dillons_whiterye_large.jpg but want my to be a little more edgy and less Martha Stewart. PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS! I AM OPEN TO ANY AND ALL IDEAS!
