Description of the product
Our company Magnavita is an emerging supplements startup in Oslo, Norway. Our company intends to export premium cod liver oil from The Kingdom of Norway to foreign markets, including the United States, Japan and India. Trollfjord was founded with the objective to offer ultrafresh and sustainably sourced cod liver oil. The Norwegian cod is wild-caught from the cold, clear waters of Vesterålen near Trollfjord, and is uniquely rich in LCMUFA, which recent research suggests is a powerful inflammatory agent. Trollfjord has no fishy taste, which is attributed to its low oxidation. We are a dedicated group of co-founders who are more than happy to answer any additional questions you should have and support you to the best of our ability during the process, in any way possible. We want this to be a fun, creative and exciting process for you as a designer, where your creativity and innovative ideas can flourish.
Description of the product target audience
Ideally, our premium cod liver oil should appeal to everyone. However, it is noteworthy to mention that our product is placed in the premium segment within the cod liver oil category, because it is sourced in Norway, is especially rich in LCMUFA, and has no fishy taste due to its very low oxidation. These are some of the product attributes that differentiate our cod liver oil within the cod liver oil segment as a premium luxury product.
We need a product label design for our high-grade liquid Norwegian cod liver oil, called Trollfjord. The product label on the front of the bottle should feature: - A modern, clean, sleek, luxurious, upscale and premium design style - Logos of our certifications (MSC / Friends of the Sea) - The Norwegian flag creatively incorporated and emphasized in the design - Symbols that are culturally associated with Norway, for example a Viking ship on a wave in the ocean, and / or a Norwegian Crown, etc. (we encourage creative thinking and are open for alternative designs, symbols and motives that would enhance the attractiveness of the product as well. Thus, symbols are optional.) - Product labels must be transparent with bottle - Ideally, our premium cod liver oil should appeal to everyone. Our bottle contains 375 ml. See attached reference image "Apotekets tran" to get an impression of the shape and size of the bottle. However, our cap is green and our labels should be transparent. In the reference image section, we have also added the Friends of the Sea and MSC logos. The cash notes in the reference image section are only included to illustrate some Norwegian motives and symbols, and is not intended as inspiration slides for the overall design of the label. Dimensions of the labels on the front and back are 115 x 50 mm. Information that should be incorporated on the label: - Trollfjord - Premium cod liver oil from The Kingdom of Norway (slogan / product description) - Sustainably sourced by our family of certified wild-capture fisheries - 375 ml (volume of product) - Dietary supplement (legal requirement)
What to avoid
We want this to be a fun, creative and exciting process for you as a designer, where your creativity and innovative ideas can flourish. We applaud originality and disruption, and honor your courage to follow your instincts to be as radical and ingenious as you want to be. We encourage modern and even unconventional and unorthodox designs, that incorporate Norwegian branding. The designer should avoid drawing inspirations from existing traditional cod liver oil brands, such as Mollers, Carlson Labs and Nordic Naturals. The designer should aim to create ultra-modern and disruptive designs that are as far removed as possible from the general design trend in the Norwegian cod liver oil category. The designer should avoid antiquated logos, cluttered front labels, poor graphics and similar motives (i.e. fjords and mountains).
