richard 0A got their new product label by running a design contest:
Capture the California beach "lifestyle" on these wine labels
Check out richard 0A's Product label contest…
Food & Drink
A new wine brand to capture the lifestyle of Southern California to be sold primarily in convenience stores there and in Florida, New Jersey, Georgia, Texas etc. at $11.99 price point. The wines should appear to be a $15 quality offered at $11.99 value. They will compete with only about 25 other wines for visual attention but should be attractive and classy with a carefree style.
What's your vision?
Wine labels (front & back) for "proprietary" red and white wines. labels should have consumers feeling as though they will be whisked away to a beautiful beach setting. they should anticipate the "feeling" of being on a beautiful beach with waves, footprints in the sand, surfing, snorkeling, dolphins swimming by, beach music, beautiful sunsets, friends BBQing, laughing and telling tales. The wines Crystal Cove will compete with are otherwise "stuffy" darker labels with no lifestyle attached. Crystal Cove consumers are not unlike the Corona Beer consumer who purchase the beer to get the feeling of being in the tropics. The difference is Crystal Cove should offer the "California Beach" lifestyle; relaxed with a touch of 'frolic'.
The white wine will be called CRYSTAL COVE 'Beachcomber White' and the red wine will be called CRYSTAL COVE 'Beachcomber Red Blend' Crystal Cove is a California state beach/park and one of the most beautiful beach settings in SoCal. It has everything you would want for a day or a week at the beach including: surfing, cliffs, dunes, snorkeling, camping, cabins.... it is the epitome of a California beach lifestyle. Although it is one of the most scenic areas in CA south of Big Sur we feel that the artists might want to express the label in a different way besides 'scenes' and are open to interpretation. We include images to give the full visual impression of the area. It is a CALIFORNIA Wine celebrating the California Beach Community Lifestyle.
