Amazing job. Mark communicates and implements changes efficiently and brings a lot of knowledge and experience of design to any project. I could tell he was a professional immediately.
Another great design!
Awesome as always. Quick to complete the job and even did it while travelling! Joao is the only designer I use and I will continue to use him for future projects.

Pier View Gin
Description of the product
Our gin is citrus and rosemary forward with a light vanilla/cinnamon finish. Not as dry as london dry, but crisp and light. Utilizing the image of vanilla and cinnamon in the label is not primary.
We are a local distillery with close ties to the Southern California lifestyle. Sunshine, fresh herbs, and salty sea air. Our ingredients for this gin were sourced from our own back yard.
Description of the product target audience
Looking to target male consumers 30-40 years old with an income around $55,000+ per year. Consumers with a passion for adventure, experiencing new things, and sharing quality time with friends and loved ones. The expectation is consumers will be drinking this gin on a hot day.
Can be either single wrap label or front and back label up to you. Looking for modern designs.
PRIMARY info on label:
We want to capture the attention of the casual gin drinker from 20 feet away. We would like the name "Pier View Gin" to be legible at this distance. A design that should inspire anyone to ask the bartender "what is that?"
For our label we picture the design showing the coastal influence on our botanical choices. The intent for the label and flavor is to take people from their current location to the shores of Southern California.
I picture the possibility of a coastal scene where water meets land, waves breaking on rocks with over grown trees hanging over or possibly a juniper bonsai styled tree. An iconic costal design. Evoking the idea that a glass of this gin will taste just as fresh and crisp as the sea breeze.
Using the color wheel of coastal tides ie. blue, green and yellow with white (sea foam?) The blue/green color palate from the coastal waters with the yellow/green/brown from land. Go in the direction of invoking a warmer image and try to avoid invoking a "cold" feeling.
We would like these two phrases included:
Locally sourced ingredients from our backyard
Designed & Crafted in Southern California
SECONDARY info on label:
We would like space for a brief write up of the product that we would like to remain editable (attached). Include, "Distilled in Southern California & Bottled by California Spirits Co. San Marcos, CA." Also, including the Government Warning (attached) and space for the barcode.
What to avoid
I don't want any fancy calligraphy. I don't want to put the artistic push behind font. It should be art/message/experience forward approach. There should be a level of transparency to our method and ingredients. I don't want the label to invoke a cold feeling.
For dimensions please refer to the bottle diagram attached. Also, we have attached the specifications from the label printer that includes die lines and vector file needs.
