tim Li got their new product label by running a design contest:
Anti-hangover supplement needs eye catching label

Bar & Nightclub
Description of the product
A dietary supplement you take before drinking to eliminate the effects of a hangover the next day. Uses the same technology as advanced water purification to capture the impurities and chemicals that cause hangovers. Stopping your body from absorbing them in the first place.
Description of the product target audience
Targeting whiskey and wine drinkers, age 25-45, live in a major city, higher than average income ($80K+), they have a collection of many whiskeys or wines at home for the "perfect occasion" and buy accessories like decanters, highball/whiskey glasses, wine glasses for specific varietals of wines, aerators, spherical and cubed ice cube molds. They enjoy these beverages for the taste, rather than trying to get drunk. Like to shop at Williams-Sonoma and Crate and Barrel.
Looking for a label that would be wrapped around a 4oz. straight-sided amber glass jar (Like this: https://www.specialtybottle.com/glass-jars/amber-straight-sided/4oz-salv4a). The cap will either be black plastic or a dark wood (like walnut). The main focus of the label should be the name of the product, Block Hangovers. It should be legible from several feet away and able to catch the attention of consumers as they walk past it on a shelf. Would like to see options with a round sticker on top of the jar cap that says "Feel great tomorrow". Cap is 2 1/4" diameter, so a 2" circle would probably work best here. Open to the use of imagery as long as it does not detract from the readability of the product name. For text, the label will need to include product name, tagline, capsule quantity, "Dietary supplement", supplement facts, company information, suggested use directions, caution message for children/nursing/pregnant, UPC code, our mission, and some explainer/flavor text. All required text will be included in an attached doc.
What to avoid
Gradients that make the text difficult to read. Imagery that conflicts with the ability to clearly read the product name.
Label to wrap jar is 7.5" wide and 1.75" high. Safe diameter for cap sticker is 2".
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their product label.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
tim Li collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
