Our project-based charter school is now recruiting 9th grade students for our upcoming school year. We are sending a direct mail campaign to area 8th grade students.
Our plan is to send a 8.5 x 5.5 postcard with white iPod type headphones attached. The tagline would say "You'll need these for digital media class." Our call to action would say, "enter the code: ___________ at Facebook.com/mentorship to download our mix tape. There needs to be a white space for us to handwrite the code. (See attached mockup).
The postcard will be inserted into a custom printed card stock envelope
We want the envelope to get students attention, so that they open it.
The would open the envelope to find the postcard with the headphones attached.
The headphones will be attached with twist ties, so they will be a captive audience while they are removing the headphones.
We are interest in possibly including a "business reply" postcard (perforated and attached at the bottom of the 5.5 by 8.5. Not sure yet, have to see a compelling design.
This might also just be a secondary piece.
The entire direct mail campaign will be sent to 3000 8th grade students in the area.
