What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
Front and back cover with spine for Jennifer Shaw's new book, "Life Not Typical: How Special Needs Parenting Changed My Faith and My Song"
This book has three main themes. The first is the story of Jennifer's young son and his struggle with sensory processing disorder. Major ideas running through this are the beach and math - both areas which showed her son's differences. The second theme is how Jennifer's faith in God got her through difficult circumstances and was changed by God's faithfulness in those times. The third theme is the story of Jennifer's music career and how it was inspired and affected by these situations.
The cover should look hopeful and appeal to both a Christian and a non-Christian audience. It is aimed at Jennifer's existing audience and also parents who may be seeking help for their children with SPD.
The book cover should not too closely resemble any of Jennifer's current products. These can be found on http://www.jennifershaw.com along with more information about Jennifer's ministry and her style.
The back cover should contain Jennifer's photo and room for a bio and blurb. The spine width will be approximately 0.5-0.6 inches. The book trim size will be industry standard 6x9 inches.
Jennifer's audience tends to be over 25, of both genders, and predominantly Christian due to her faith focus.
