How Youtubecomedian started their print or packaging design journey
Who are you known as?
Scientist Turned Comedian Tim Lee
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Entertainment & The Arts
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We perform live comedy shows.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I'd like an 11x17 poster designed. Ideally the design could be scaled up to 18x24 or 24x36 as well.
The title of the poster should be "Scientist Turned Comedian" or "Scientist Turned Comedian Tim Lee".
I'd like the quote, "Very cerebral comedy" -New York Times , prominently on the poster as well.
The body text is : A creative blend of stand-up comedy and science. Tim Lee is a comedian with a Ph.D. who's become an internet sensation with more than 4 million views of his YouTube videos. Tickets and more info at YouTubeComedian.com
At the bottom of the poster needs to be an open space where the dates of the particular show can be written in. This allows a single poster printing to be customized for multiple towns. See an example here http://www.discmakers.com/products/Posters.asp
I'll attach an example of the current poster as an image.
There's plenty of information on the artist, including articles and videos, at YouTubeComedian.com
I'd like to poster to be eye catching as it will frequently be on a wall filled with other posters. The design should convey this is a smart clean comedy show.
There's two types of people at the show. The first is the group that likes the show because they think it is weird and quirky. The second is the group that likes it because they think it's smart.
