Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Blog and new book to provide information, advice, encouragement to people wanting to start a business. Dr. Jean has over 30 years' experience helping people start businesses. She knows the legal and financial requirements and she is passionate about helping your business start fast and grow into success.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
E-Book cover and second page/flyer for new book "Breezing through Startup." I would like you to use only the already created logo and colors (or complementary colors), and create a front cover and promotion page for this e-book. Second page should be stand-alone so I can use it for promotion (may include duplicate information from cover).
I have successfully registered "Dr. Jean Means Business" as a trademark and I will also need winner to change "TM" on logo to ® on final versions of book covers and logo. Use current version("TM") for your submissions.
I have attached my logo and copy, along with my photo (optional for 2nd page/flyer). You may want to use logo by itself (without words).
Winner should submit two .pdf documents.
I like clean and bright. The cover should portray "easy" "fast" "effortless." I prefer traditional to modern, not too feminine. See below for more information on target market. To re-state: I want the logo colors used on the two pieces.
I'm targeting a slightly older group - 30s and up - people who have lost their jobs in the recession, women who want a new opportunity after the kids are grown, those who want to make a hobby or craft skill into a real business, online business owners who need to get started quickly with a minimum of hassle and money. All education levels (I do have a small following with a younger audience who are graduates of professional schools).
These people may already be self-employed, but they don't know what they need to do to make their business "real" from a tax and legal standpoint. They can't afford the time or the money to do a corporate startup. They most likely will be working from home.
