K-12 independent school near Boulder, Colorado. College-prep, with challenging academics, arts, athletics, experiential ed, character and leadership development. TARGET AUDIENCE: For this poster 1) Current students; 2) current faculty/staff and families; 3) prospective community members
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
Dawson School has four virtues which are areas of focus for our character development program: respect, compassion, courage, and integrity. We would like to have a memorable poster that spotlights these four words; it will go at the entrance to every division and other major locations around campus. Could be a graphic / type treatment, or artistic (e.g. painterly); do want sophistication. Do not want the look of the conventional "Team" or "Hang in there"/doctor's office type look. Do not want young / kiddish / crayon / cartoon type look. We are initially thinking not to have photos of students, but are open to it; if that is your direction, use stock image placeholders please.
Have attached school logo in color (.jpg and .png) and reversed out (.png); also a one-sheet on brand guidelines. The poster does not need to be in school colors, but should not be at odds with the brand. Logo does need to be incorporated into final art. Unless the type is uniquely part of the design (if that makes sense), please try to use one of our fonts.
