Motorcycle Mecca produces large-scale comprehensive, multi-class motorcycle shows that are supported by statewide Dealers, Exhibitors and Bikers. Attractions of the show include a multi-class custom bike show, beauty contest, motorcycle fashion show, live entertainment, motorcycle seminars and delicious concessions. The show will be held at Macomb Community College’s Sports & Expo Center in Warren, MI, April 9 – 10, 2022. We will start securing show participants January 1, 2021. The show will attract 10,000 – 15,000 customers. Our target audience are motorcycle enthusiasts, primarily between the ages of 18 and 54. Among registered Michigan motorcyclists, 85% are male, 15% are female. The show is currently on hiatus because of COVID-19 restrictions in Michigan. However, we anticipate restrictions will be lifted next spring at which time show operations will continue in earnest.

We need a poster designed that will promote the upcoming Motorcycle Mecca Motorcycle Show in Warren, Michigan. The poster design must be targeted to men and women and feature multi-class custom motorcycles which customers will experience at the show including a touring bike, sport bike, cruiser bike and vintage bike. The poster should also feature our brand logo, bullet pointed show attractions including the custom bike show, beauty contest, motorcycle fashion show, live entertainment and motorcycle seminars. The poster should also feature show specifics including location (Macomb Community College’s Sports & Expo Center, Warren, Michigan), dates (April 9 – 10, 2022) and times (Saturday, 10 am – 9 pm) (Sunday, 10 am – 5 pm). The poster should also feature space across the bottom to include a few dealer partner logos. NOTE: The poster design is extremely important because it will become the predominant image of the show and will be featured in all paid media including our website, social media, magazine ads, newspaper ads, banners and outdoor boards.

Because the poster design will become the predominant image for the show, and will be featured in all paid media, the design must demonstrate superior creativity and design professionalism. The design must be high-quality and synonymous with a movie poster or album cover that is designed by major movie and music distribution companies. The poster design must grab men’s and women’s attention, get then excited, communicate a clear, concise message and motivate them to purchase tickets to the show. Poster design must center around four multi-class motorcycles including a touring bike, sport bike, cruiser bike and vintage bike because those are some of the custom bikes that will be featured at the show. For design inspiration, please review the attached Hot Copper Car Show poster. We like the way the cars jump pop off the page toward the viewer. Simply imagine the three cars are four motorcycles. We do not recommend adding skimpily clad women to the poster design because 50% of show customers will be women and we don’t want them to be offended. Lastly, Motorcycle Mecca Motorcycle Show will be conducted each year which will necessitate a new poster design annually. Furthermore, we will conduct shows in other states and each of those shows will require a new poster design each year. Our goal is to establish a working relationship with a select group of talented poster designers that will become our go to team when designing show posters. The finalists of this poster design contest will have an opportunity to join our design team.
